Reviews about Smiles Dental - School Street, Wolverhampton
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I used to be a patient of this practice years ago when living in Wolverhampton. This was because I was a patient of a previous practice and transferred by default. The premises is large, spacious and relaxing-which is just as well. This establishment has several foibles which in my mind aren't good things at all. And as such I left and neglected my teeth as a result. The issues are: 1) The line-up of actual dentists changes constantly. No sooner have you started to trust somebody then they've left. You'll NEVER have a dentist for life here! 2) There is far too much emphasis on this being a business rather than a centre for treatment. I'll elaborate. On several occasions when visiting for a check-up, I was told "You need X-Rays,fillings here and there, root canal treatment." Now it MIGHT have been necessary but I think the decisions on reflection were to get me to part with my cash. 3) And on a similar note a Wisdom tooth extraction couldn't(WOULDN'T!) be done on the NHS so I got charged £50+VAT for the Dentist to do it privately. I was softened up earlier with talk about having to be booked in by a "Maxillo-Facial Surgeon" at New Cross Hospital. I was worried enough to swallow the spin and thought I'd got away lightly. Years later I realised what had happened. The treatment in fairness is up to a high standard. All the dentists there were perfectly pleasant and competent but bear in mind that this practice is reluctant to treat patients on the NHS. And as such you will have toothache in your wallet. One to avoid for reasons stated.by Peter MacCabeOctober 17, 2017
